This jacket was one of the first pieces Freenote designed for the birth of the brand. It quickly became a staple and they consider it their version of the classic trucker style jacket. They modified the design of the front chest patch pockets by adding a curved shape to the flap and pocket. Switched the typical welt pockets with a pocket built into the front panels of the jacket. Like their original model they brought back the interior pockets that are perfect for your wallet.
The denim is a heavy slub indigo 6x6 construction from Yoshiwa Mills, Japan. The texture also highlights some slight nepping in the yarns and is a great balance of texture and color. The ticking is red selvedge ID. This jacket has gone through a single rinse which brightens up the color of the fabric and also relaxes the fit and takes out the rigidness of a raw denim jacket. The rinse makes the 16 oz denim feel a bit lighter and much more comfortable.

The 8875 is similar to 9874 &amp; 9875 in that it is a vintage Irish Setter reproduction. The “Red Wing” name is embossed on the inside quarter of the boot and the backstay chain-stitch is once again done on our ancient Puritan Stitch machine, which has its origins in the 1890s. We use the same mahogany and sage thread of the original and the top band is double-stitched. All of these features are subtle differences from our standard No. 877 Classic Work Boot but they add up to an Irish Setter that is both unique and true to its name. However, it uses a Irish Setter logo standards from a different era. Rather than using a woven label, it uses an Irish Setter screen-printed logo in it’s place. This rendition also eliminates the bar-tack stitching and uses a taslan lace in place of the original leather laces.
